I have a dilemma for a while since I've been looking for a new gaming system - consoles or PC. Honestly it makes no difference to me. I'm looking for most value for money. It's cheaper to get a console, but on the other hand I'm not a fan of the paid monthly subscriptions to play online. Everything is so hard to get right now.

What would you recommend for me? What would you do in this case if you wanted to get a gaming system?

I'm interested in this too. I have a PS3 from a while back but I think I want one of the new XBoxes. I'm not really interested in buying another PC for gaming. That has a much lower WAF than a console.

It's mostly going to be for my 13 year old son and 11 year old daughter.

Video cards for PC's are very hard to come by right now. Overall most parts are. I think PC gaming is better (what I do) and can do everything a console can X 1000. but overall Console is easier to just pick up and go if you're aren't into tech at all.
