Can anyone recommend a good golf gps app for the iphone 4s? I've seen the golfshot app, and I have the free/lite version. Pretty cool stats tracker fo sho. The paid app is prolly pretty cool as well, but fuck it's $30. What other app is that expensive?

Any other golf gps apps y'all can recommend?

I have the nRange app for Blackberry and thinks its awesome. The free version is the full version, but its limited to downloading only 4 courses. Don't know if its available for the iPhone, but search for it.

For video analysis get the V1 golf app, I think it's $5. You can video your swing and use that to draw lines on it to check your swing. You can compare it to some of the pros swings. They have a bunch that you can download for free.

Ping has a free putting app as well called iping. You have to buy the cradle though which should be about $30. You clip the iphone to your putter with the cradle and it will track how you open and close the putter while swinging. The idea is to try and make your numbers repeat as much as possible. If you numbers are all over the place then you are not repeating the same swing and that means your not going to be a good putter.

I just bought the golfshot: golf gps app. It was tough to pull the trigger on a $30 app. Hope it's worth it. I had the lite version of golfshot installed and it was pretty good. I'll have to check out the v1 app, bobr.

Thanks to all for the recommendations.
