Well.....just thought I'd give an update on my quest for a seat in the "Lucky" Derby WSOP tournament. I am making slow progress, though unless it's 1st or 2nd, it's really not much I guess.

Last week I finished 6th. Today, I finished 5th. Had some good cards when necessary to stay in the game. On the second hand of the game, I had pocket Qs. I raised. The flop- QQK. When I bet, I didn't realize it was heads-up and bet too much. I should have gotten some cash out of it. Oh well. Hmm....quad Qs in a tournament.... I'm liking that!

My last hand was a pair of 7s heads up versus AQ ns. Qxx on the flop.

It was fun and good experince. When's the next BYOC tournament?

Well, I, too, was at the Derby today and finished third ... from the bottom! Obviosuly the folks at the LD don't know about my reputation as bubble girl. Nice work, DA. Do you know who ended up winning?

Yes....but not there names. The top two were the older man that talked all the time at your table (red hat) and the man who was there with his wife, glasses (he was at my table).

Ugh - Mr. Talkative was the guy who ended up with all of my chips! I think he has me to thank for his sucessful finish! Was the guy with the glasses a good player? His wife won some pretty nice pots at first.

He was ok. I mean.....I think he bought several hands and caught some cards when needed. He was able to use the muscle of his stack to get others out.
