I haven't been active here in forever, but today proved how us OG's roll here. About an hour after learning that my brother committed suicide this morning (more on that later) I get this in a group text with T/Q/Swanky etc.:

MADE ME LAUGH! Thanks guys. Proof this place still FECKING rules.

ON to my Brother. It SUCKS ASS, and not in a good way. He had mental and substance issues for most of his life. He was one of the first "Ritalin Kids" and was on 25-30mg a day before he was 15. which lead to all sorts of problems with all manner of street drugs. Add to that, clinical depression and probably being undiagnosed bi-polar and well there ya have it.

He was a GIFTED graffiti artist and a lover of both Old School Hip Hop and Industrial Metal.

I'm a little lost at the moment, and thank you that have reached out.

Comments like these that I have received, publicly and privately, from you guys means more to me that I can ever possibly express.

My mom asked me who some of you guys were. When i explained to her who some of you are and how we all know each other she was BLOWN away. "These are people you never met that you are friends with on the internet and they care enough about you to reach out to you? Not in a million years would I have believed that would be possible."

Thank you all my brothers. And I do think of you like brothers.

I posted this on FB, but thought I'd post it here as well. My Brother was a member of a Graffiti crew here in Chicago that has been continually working since the early 80's. They are one of the only crews that is in it all for the Art. No slinging, banging or bullshit JUST the art. Jack was part of the Second generation of FIK. The OG's are my age (50) and some have their kids and grand kids in the current Gen. The Cat taking a knee is one of Jacks best friends since HS, he goes by the tag Dr3aM. Dream called me and Beans out to hang with him while he pretty much soloed the piece below. Jacks tag was OhmzIlla and its been seen all over the place for years in the short form of Ohmz. The piece is on a stretch of Viaduct 50+ feet long and 12 1/2 feet tall. They had to fisheye the shot to get it all in.

Spending a chilly rainy Sunday afternoon with Jacks friends and hearing all the stories I never knew was pretty epic. Meeting people I've only heard about for decades, and hearing that some of them came from as far as NY through this pandemic and having members of that community ping in via Social Media and straight up video calls from all over the world was even more humbling.

BOYOS, thank you all for the love and JuJu over the last month. My family is grateful for the thoughts prayers and Jus.
