Like many other BYOCer's, I've grown weary of limit Hold Em. 4/8 just isn't worth the time and pain of bad players, and 12/24 gets boring with all the same faces. That said, I've been moving my play to mostly NL lately. So let's all compile a list of area NL games, including addresses, times they play, buy-in, general style if known, etc. Should help us all. I'll add the first one.
Let's get em' out here so I have some new places to play!!!

-"The Kid"

Where: Lucky Derby Casino, 7433 Greenback Lane, Citrus Heights, CA

When: As of now, Mon and Tue they start around 6-7pm, and sometimes they play on weekends with enough interest.

What: $100 ONLY buyin, with $200 max bet. More Spread limit, but still fun. Play is generally loose, lots of raising before the flop, with few calling stations.

Cache Creek - 24/7, providing they have players, sometimes have 2 or more tables going.

Structure: $100 buy-in, no more, no less, Stackup to $100 if you fall below $50. Blinds 1/1/2 with a $4 bring in. With the exception of the buy-in it is true NL play - you can bet any amoutn you wish at any time.

I've seen the game play very rough and very soft - it just dependson who is there.

I am thinking of playing the following games when I am L.A.:

Hollywood Park Casino (near LAX)
1. NLHE $100 buy in, $2/$3 blinds
2. NLHE $200 buy in, $3/$5 blinds

Or, if I feel lucky,
3. PLHE $500 buy in, $5/$10 blinds

Or, I might play $15/$30 or $20/$40 Limit HE.

Fishing Anyone?

Hey Good Folks,
Well if you're willing to take the drive up north a little ways. There is an Indian Casino Called Feather Falls Right outside of Oroville. About a 30-45 minute drive. Of course pending on how fast you drive . A lot of fish hang out at the NL table. NL table starts 7pm Fridays and saturdays. It's best you get there early to put your name on the waiting list. Fortunately, for me I was the first one on the list :D. Here is the Address!

Feather Falls Casino - California's Best Bet!
#3 Alverda Drive - Oroville, California 95966
(530) 533-3885 - Fax (530) 533-8944

Geeee Boys, if you like money and can play solid poker you can make a killing. If I didn't have to work most weekends it would definitely be on my weekly rotation. Players at the table going all in with low pair and straight draw/Flush draw. Grant you will be baeten sometime however, majority of the time you'll be dragging in pot after pot. Easy pickens for the intermediate player. Just grab the fishing pole, use your skills for the bait and it should be hook, line, and sink.

Happy Fishing,
Just_Me
