JR is finally going to try to start the tournies rolling. For some crazy reason, they're going to run them at 10:00 am on Mon, Wed, Fri mornings. I really have doubts that they'll get a big following at those times, but I guess they won't have to worry about taking tables from cash games at that time. Sign ups start at 8:00 am on tourney days, no pre-reg is going to be allowed as far as I understand.

Tourney structure:

Monday/Firday
Buy-in:$25, $5 going to the house.

T1500 starting stack.

Rebuys: $20 for T2000 chips. Anytime before round 4 when below T500. "Bonus rebuy" (add-on) after round 3 regardless of stack size.

15 minute blinds:
25/50
50/100
75/150
100/200
200/400
300/600
500/1000
1000/2000
2000/4000
4000/8000
"blinds will increase every 15 minutes until completion"

Wed:
Buy-in $25, $5 to house
Starting stack: T1000
Rebuys: None

15 minute blinds:
10/25
25/50
50/100
100/200
200/400
300/600
500/1000
"blinds will increase every 15 minutes until completion"

All days:
Payouts: 6 places - 40%, 25%,15%, 10%, 5%, 5%

The rules in the brochure seem pretty standard. There is one that reads "No call bets are allowed for re-buys." I have no idea what that could mean.

I think they're going to start out with a 3 table cap, but will likley expand if the interest is there.

The only reason why casinos down here do those types of tournaments is to get cash games running earlier in the day rather than waiting for players to trickle in to get something going. You'll always find them early in the morning or around 7-9pm when tables break down for dinner.

Hags,

I saw the same flier when I was down there Friday night and forgot to grab one of those to bring home with me to post the details for. I also had the same exact question about their rule in the tourney flier.

I, like you, can't figure out what "No call bets are allowed for re-buys:" means, and I was afraid to ask anyone there, as I didn't want to confuse, even the people that work there.

Not likely that I'd get out of bed to be there at 8AM to reg for a tourney, but who knows. Good luck to them. I can't imagine the tourney will be that tough to beat. My guess would be that it will be the same mentality in their tourney as in their cash games. (I have chips, I'll call)
