Short and (not so) sweet report - I spent 5 hours dragging all of 3 pots (2 of which were $10 pots and the third would have been a great pot if I'd of had few more chips).
Colder than ice, still. Unreal. J4o, K2o, 93o all day long. Brutal. The few limpers that I got were always met with a raise or missed the board so far that I didn't even have a dream to chase. Pretty aggressive table, so I had to pretty much wait for pretty solid hands. I got exactly 3 hands that I would have raised with in the right situations:
- AK in late pos that I did raise with, but laid it down to a very strong raise by a pretty tight player in one of the blinds.
-AQ in SB. Just limped and missed bad.
-99 in BB. 7 or 8 limpers and my stack wasn't big enough to scare the whole field away. In hindsight, I probably could have taken the pot by playing it stronger, but my crystal ball didn't give me that indication, so I limped, missed and ended up seeing the river with 2nd best hand.
At least there were no rediculous beats involved (not hard to do when you can't get involved). Bled away $120 over 5 hours. At least I didn't lose much tipping the dealers....
Ugh. Unbelievable that I could can run 2 whole months this cold, but I guess it happens. It's even more painful, when you watch a guy sit down and triple up in 30 minutes, but nothing I could do about that. Just tried to be patient and play the game. I guess I'm ready for a new poker year. It seems to me that it was about this time last year that I went through the same crap. Gotta be a coincedence, but still kind of freaky.
