Sounds good, I've added you to the 'likely' group. Not sure how accurate my tracking is this year but anyway let us know when you have made travel plans and I'll change you to confirmed. Also send me a PM with your contact info (name/ph/email).
I did try to email JC awhile back and didn't get a response... so I'm not sure what is going on with him.

I figured you were, just didn't know for sure. Not sure what the latest is on JBA.

Fvck JC and his OCD anal-retentive horse he rides around on. :)

TLDR:
I talked with him a while back and he was looking into his schedule. He didn't know if he was able to make it or not at that time, but this was a few months ago.

Here's the latest on this shindig..

It is not likely we'll be in the new house at the time of the pmc meetup. Fuck Covid and China and everything else that contributed to the upheaval of these last 2 years of slowing the spread...

Anyway it is what it is... We are currently and tentatively planning on moving in on Tuesday 4/26. It's possible but unlikely that we'd be clear to go before that, and possible and quite likely that it will be delayed beyond that. The key things we are missing before we can apply for inspection and CofO, are plumbing trim out, driveway pavers, and fall protection (railing). These are things which have a 'hope for' completion date but we don't feel confident in for one reason or another. There are a lot of other finishing things which also need to be done, like appliances, hvac, carpet, and some other fluff stuff, but we don't anticipate any hold ups on these.

Anyway, as this relates to the meetup, if we get clearance before 4/20, but simply haven't moved in yet, I plan on moving the poker tables over and still hosting a poker game at the new place on Saturday evening. If not then we'll probably have to make do at the airbnb you guys are using. I have a portable table that could be used there.

As for the rest of the festivities, I'd suggest we do the traditional arrival meetup at the All American Sports Grill on Thursday afternoon and into the early evening, whereupon we can all head over to either our new place or to the airbnb to finish the night. My son and his 2 friends are arriving on Weds so we'll all be over there to secure a few patio tables in time for the earliest arrivals. Probably good for everyone to comment on their planned arrival day/time for this thing.

The shoot will be Friday morning and as we get closer we can fine tune the details on who goes out at the butt crack of dawn to lock in a good spot. We'll want something with a 200 yard range so I can get the dust off the 50. The rest of us should meet somewhere and go as a convoy departing no later than 8am as it will be getting damn hot by that time of year. We will also want someone to do a range safety briefing. JC has traditionally done it but he's not indicated he's attending, so maybe Quads or one of the other experts can handle that. I know most of us know the drill but lets make sure everyone is on the same page. Bring or ship ammo ahead (I can give you my address if you want to ship it here). Or if you get in early enough you can hit a local place.

We can work out other ideas for friday afternoon/eve and sat morning as we get closer. I know traditionally we have gone as a big group to the local Mexi place but they've been closed for a year due to staffing issues and I don't expect them to be open. I can look into getting a reservation for a decent Mexican (or other) place in scottsdale. I don't know that there's much else here in FH that could accommodate 15-20 on a Friday night.

On Saturday morning/afternoon we could go as 1 group or split up and golf, gocarts, casino, nap, whatever...
tbd.

I'm hoping we can do Top Golf this year if there is enough interest and time.

Should be able to upgrade me to all but locked in. Pablo and I are on the same flight arriving in PNX at 7:40p on 4/20. Feels like hosting the poker tournament at the rental house shouldn't be a problem especially with a travel table.

Zath,
I'll be staying at the fort hotel but should drop off my pew-pew's at your house Thursday afternoon if that is OK.
I'll call you a week before as we get into AZ on the 12th.

Looking forward to it! As my dad mentioned, my two buds and I will arrive Wednesday night. I got a vrbo on the main road, so we won't be too far from the action.

3 votes here for some type of golf on Saturday a.m.

Sorry boys, been away from the computer for a bit.

Saturday, I'm out for all activities until the evening. Saturday is a pretty big day for me as I organise the local Anzac Day commemoration. Anzac Day is big at home and it's essentially Memorial Day and Veteran's Day rolled in to one. It's held each year at home on the 25th of April, but we hold it here on the closest Saturday, this being the 23rd this year. Right smack back in the middle of the MnG.
I give the service and a bunch of Aussie and Kiwis pay our respects to our fallen military and current and past serving members. It's a day of mourning, reflection and pride. And because we're Aussies, it's a day of beers.
So if you'd like to see the old Swankster in a suit, decked out in his Grand Father's medals and his lonely sole medal, and you want to see him choke up giving a speech, then you are all invited to come down.

I'll have details on Thursday and Friday of the MnG so if, your keen, you're all more than welcome to attend. There will be beers and barbecue too.

I'm looking forward to seeing all you degenerates.
:D

Evening lads, unfortunately I'm not gonna make it this year. The restrictions that are still in place to travel to the states make it too expensive for me. That's without me checking the cdc Web page about possible quarantine rules in some states. Was hoping they would drop all that shit by now.

So a big fuck you to Covid.

As for the rest of you degenartives.
Swanky I would of loved to see you give a speech for fallen brothers in arms. You have my utmost respect sir.
Zath, thanks for setting this up again.
Blake, I'm gonna want some of that hooch next time ;)
Jiggy, you are still not allowed to drive.

If JC decides to join can someone give him a new blow up Hillary doll?

Have fun boys!

That sucks James that you can't make this year, maybe next year. I can't drive? I must be forgetting that reference.

I'm booking 2 adjacent bays for Top Golf in Fountain Hills on Thursday around 10 am. Please let me know ASAP if anyone wants to join. If there aren't enough for 2 bays I need to cancel one of them and I'm sure they will want to know well before hand.

So here's the deal on TopGolf. They require a minimum $250 food and drink bill for 7 plus players with 2 adjacent bays. $490 total bill with 50% non refundable down payment. Fuck that. We decided to just walk in and play, the only problem is we may not get 2 adjacent bays if there are more than 6 of us. Willystyle, I know you said you and your friends would be in for some golf. 11 am Thursday the 21st at the Topgolf in Scottsdale right next to Crooked Dick casino. Any and all can show up if they want

Please mark me down for 3. Reservation or not. I figured we'd swing the clubs at some point.
