It seems our semi-regular Monday games have disappeared. Here are some of my theories why it is so:
1. A lot of BYOCers are degenerate (and losing) sports betters. They try to recuperate a weekend of losses in football by trying to get even on MNF. They have to watch the game since so much is riding.
2. The interest in NLHE, like California real estate market, has peaked and is beginning to decline.
3. The high price of gas results in less disposable income. While the fed's monetary policy (i.e., raising the interest rate) has spurred the return of stagflation.
4. Some BYOCers have abandoned playing poker as the source of income and instead are relocation to New Orleans to serve as construction workers.
And the most likely reason is:
The game is still going on, but Ace has become a persona non grata because the people are sick of munching on chololate.
BTW, what happen to our regular Saturday games?
