Why not put a bounty on EVERYBODY? You get a bounty bonus when you bust a player. This way no one gets singled out. Some casinos run some bounty tourneys somewhat similar to this:

Say it is a $50 buy in and you have 20 players. Thus there is $1000 in prize pool. This will be the breakdown:

$50 for HHJP.
$20 for bounty per player x 19 players = $380
The remaining $570 just pay 3 spots:

Say $285 for first (its really $305 since the winner will of course collect the last bounty bonus), $171 for second, and $114 for third (50/30/20 split). Although you pay 3 places instead of 5 there is going to a distribution of wealth since some player who finishes in 10th place might get 3 bounties.

Just a thought. Since I will be a late arrival of the 11/27 tourney so I won't be able to play in it.

1. I agree with Hagar that a secret bounty would just be a lottery.

2. If you were to take my suggestion and make it truly a bounty tourney one way to keep track is to give each player a special chip (say, your 50-cent Isthmus chip, Quads) so when the player taps s/he surrenders it to the person who busts him/her. This way the hunter can trade in the special chip(s) for cash to be settled later. Obviously if the hunter subsquently gets busted s/he has to give 1 special chip to the person who busts him/her but keep the other chip(s) he has accumulated.
