I'm considering doing this for the next tourney I host and see how people like it and if it takes off. There are several ways of doing a bounty hunt, so I'd like to get your thoughts and ideas on this format.
With a tourney large enough, (I'd say 2 tables would justify) a random person would be pulled.
That person would be the "bounty"
Everyone else in the game is "hunting"
If you bust that person out of the tourney, you get the bounty prize, in this case, I'm thinking, you get your buy in back.
I'd like to run this along with the traditional HHJP that we do.
The software I have (tourney director) will manage this and takes all the brain work out of it. The only issue is do we add this on top of the tourney entry fee (as we've done with some of hte HHJP's) or do we include this in the entry fee.
I've played several casino tourneys (for example the Derby has one in their tourneys) where they do this and it adds some fun / excitement to the action.
Curious to know if anyone else has and or if there are any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions.
