No one except the original creators know for sure who created the thing. I wouldn't be surprised if one or four guys did the work, stashed coins somehow for themselves as a creation fee, or backdoor to get some later, waited for the whole thing to explode and cashed out quietly and anonymously. Or they're waiting to do so. They're already sipping drinks on the beach.
And again, don't take what i'm saying the wrong way. I'm just not a believer in the long term validity of them. For your sake of profit, I'd love to be wrong.
So if one bitcoin costs $89, how does someone selling something for the equivalent of say $25 work? If I hopped on Silk Road, and wanted to purchases something that costs $25, how would that work with bitcoins that are worth $89 a piece?
I can't quite figure out how to post this properly but found this on Yahoo. Seems bitcoins are on the rise with the currency crisis over abroad. May be a bubble, may be the rise of something yet to come, I don't know, but very interesting and worth watching.
