Hi there! Would you like to impress your buddies (or your wife) but you doubt your culinary skills? Well, let me help. Here is my recipe for a pork stew which is delicious yet simple!

Pork shoulder about two pounds
1 tbsp lard
1 red onion
1 yellow onion / regular onion
chicken stock

Wash the meat, pat it dry, and season with salt and pepper. Peel the onions and cut them into quarters. Put lard in the frying pan and fry the meat on each side together with onions. When everything is browned, pour in the broth (approx. 1/2 l). Stew under the lid until soft. Turn the meat from time to time. If you want to obtain a velvety sauce, just mix the liquid with onions at the end. The onions will naturally thicken the sauce.

It is best served with potatoes - either boiled or mashed!
