Nice job PK!

You should start saving those royal flushes for when you're playing in card rooms! Derby and Capitol (among others) have bonuses that go up every day, and only 1 card in your hand needs to play.

I've hit 2 royals in my life, both at Derby: Payout, $550 and $300!!

Good job on that online play... not really my thing... glad BYOC is representing all over the place!

Hitting a royal for a 7-card game like 7 card stud or hold em isn't that difficult. So the person who has played 50 years without hitting one must be really unlucky (unless, of course, s/he seldom plays). Also, playing online you get about 60 hands per hour which greatly enhances the possibility. However, hitting a royal playing 5 card stud is extremely rare since you may not get to your fifth card. Hitting it on the flop like what you did is like being dealt a pat 5 card draw royal which is about 650,000 against.

Isn't that difficult? Compared to what, hitting two hole in one's in one round? Of course if you're playing a par-3 course, it's not hard!?!

I think the normal hole in one odds is about 10,000 to 1 for normal amateurs (of course it would be lower for you Dodger), maybe about 800 to 1 for PGA pros. I would say getting 2 aces in one round for a normal amateur (assuming a regulation course with 4 par 3's) would be a lot harder to do than being dealt a pat royal.

Never had one, and I think I have more than 10,000 par 3's under my belt.

I guess I'm due. Maybe 2 this weekend.

What i am thinking i need to do is start playing those table games like 3 card poker or 3-5-7, im sure the payout on royals is huge

Save your $, PK, the house edge on those games is enormous. to get the big payoff on a royal or other big hand, you have to play the bonus of $1 or more usually... if you don't get a big pair or better, that money is gone.... house edge: 10-20%!!!!!

Don't know about you, but I'd rather take people's money at a hold em game where I will often have the advantage.
