Default New Table - Oval with Raised Rail

I had a customer stop by a few weeks ago to discuss some table options, and he ended up making me an offer on my personal table. I've had the itch to build myself a new one for the last few months, so I sold that one and now it's time to start the new build. It's been a while since I've done a nice build thread, so here goes.

The new table will be a full felt 10 man oval (92"x44") with a raised rail. If all goes as planned, the raised rail will be made of finished wood with an inlay design. Rail will be padded suede, playing surface will be suited speed cloth. I toyed with getting a custom cloth, but for now, the SSC will have to do until I'm able to turn my 6 month funk at the tables around.

I took advantage of the beautiful weekend we had recently get some work done outside and save on some sawdust cleanup. I got most of my plywood cuts done, including all the cup holder holes. I have a video I did of the jasper jig laying around somewhere, I really have to get that cleaned up and posted. Anyways, here are some construction shots:

Arc & cups all cut out, boards in place to cut the straightaways:

I originally planned on building my own pedestals for this table, but after a recent purchase (more on that later), this table may end up with just folding legs. I just don't think I can justify having two full size pedestal tables in the basement. Plus it'd be nice to have a somewhat portable table to bring out on the deck when the weather's nice.

More to come, feel free to shoot off any questions.

Going casino classic with this one, black rail and a green cloth. IIRC it's the forest green SSC. For the exposed raised rail, I was planning on cherry with a reddish stain, than the inlay running through the middle of that. I just got the inlay strips the other day, they're pretty sweet. I'll post some pictures when I get the chance.

Excuse my naivety, but what is that tool called? The one lying on top of the table - I don't think I've seen one before...

Porter Cable 690LR Router to be exact. It's a great little router, but I'm looking to eventually upgrade to something with a little more power.

Here's a quick cross section of the table. I'm putting cup holders in the rail as well, but left that out to make the sketch easier to read.

Exploded version showing how it'll fit together. This should allow me to upholster the rail, screw in the wood riser to the top piece to hide the staples, than bolt the rail down to the rest of the table:
