Never done it before. Going to give it a shot Saturday. What do i need to know?

Expecting 8 adults, 5 teens and 6 youths.

OH CRAP! These are fan-fucking-tastic! The sheer amount of web resources that come up on a simple Google search means you don't need any specific recipes. It's easy, fun, and hugely popular.

With the potatoes and corn in it, you may not feel the need for more starch, but ... but, if you're game to try some deep frying, I'd make hush puppies to go with it. Add some shredded cheese, and/or diced jalapenos to some of them.

Low country boil going down now-



Miscalculated the water in the pot so had to put veggies in a cooler while we boiled the shrimp to avoid spillage













11 adults and handful of kids

16# shimp
48 ears corn
9# taters
3# vidalias
4# sausage
3 artichokes
3 carton shrooms
8 lemons
2 cups old bay
4oz zatarains liquid shrimp and crab boil


Washing it down with peach shine a Rita and

Till's Honeysuckle mint hard lemonade

Remember in my grill restoration thread, I told you that a buddy of mine married my ex-wife, ended up with my deceased ex-father-in-law's grill cart, took it to his deer camp, left it when he sold his cabin, and I ended up with it thanks to my cousin knowing where it was?

Well that big bastard in the greenish grey tshirt is my ex-husband-in-law and that little man beside him is his and my ex-wife's son.



He was very complimentary of the restoration efforts.
