Basement speaker configuration question

Hi, I wonder if I ought to go with a "ceiling & wall" speaker application or a PA speaker application. I love sonos & put the play 5 in the ceiling (facing down) but it just didn't sound right to me. Maybe it's different mixed with wall speakers idk. I'm trying to get this massive party music thing going on & want my family, friends etc... to feel it in their bones. Could you help me out with this?

I went with Yamaha in wall speakers.. As I always think sound from speakers in walls sound better than speakers in the ceiling.. Ceiling speakers always remind me of elevators..

I have 5 Yamaha in wall speakers, a Yamaha active sub and Yamaha processor
