![]() Not sure where to put this - and since it's gaming related...
Too lazy to do a ton of research, so I was hoping a few had knowledge to help. I'm looking for a cable modem router for gaming. Wifi should be built in with anything I'm looking for. Simple plug in cable, call up Comcast and go... Thanks in advance

![]() Some cable companies use differing styles of modems, and depending on the speed of service you pay for, you might "need" the newest model... Or might be able to get away with a cheaper model.
Bottom line: Many companies / modems are compatible, but not all. Shoot for one that is recommended by your specific cable company for your level of service. Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk

![]() what XXX said is accurate, but once you find out, def get something from amazon or frys, it'll be 1000% better than what your cable company provides. those have always been garbage.

![]() Well, I found out that along with manually resetting routers on the back, you can also reset with a 30/30/30. Neither of those worked, and my damn thing kept knocking me out every 10 minutes. Pretty annoying when you're trying to game
![]() Finally went into the computer, logged into the Admin and factory reset the damn thing. Works like a champ and no issues since - mo betta ![]() Thanks guys
