![]() Also Slev I am fine with you using any of my chips any time, even if I ain't there. There is a great deal on Desert Palms in the St Pattys day sale over at CT, I think .29 each. Boother has had these chips for years and they are really very nice. You can't beat them for the price IMO if you want a cash and tourney set of say 1200 or so chips.

![]() At least DD sells his unused chips. I have sold one set and bought maybe 9. I do look for bargain basement pricing, I guess that is the thrill for me.

![]() Well, I decided against the chipco set. I prefer the look, feel, and sound of clays. Plus, I'm short on funds and the seller is not interested in a trade. That helped make the decision for me, too.
I really want to upgrade soon. I am tired of using the quality chips at my local card rooms, only to come home and unpack those nasty dice chips for my home games. I may start a thread in the trading post to see if anyone is up for a trade. BTW, just in case anyone else might be interested in the chipco set... linky

Hi Jim - my name is Mike and I am a chiptalker (mike32) who has bought some chipco's from you that I love! I live in South Lyon so I am very close. Also several of my buddies have bought desert palms etc. A group of us SE Michigan guys would love to come by and see the warehouse, post pics etc. One guys (Quads) owns perfectmancave.com where lots of us are active. I am sure we would also make some purchases at said trip if that would be ok. You can reach me at 248.789.xxxx (cell) or text me there and we could hopefully set something up on a saturday or sunday. You are mentioned in the forum there currently for your st pattys day sale, lots of poker guys there! Mike New Chips - The Perfect Man Cave Last edited by Quads; 03-16-2012 at 11:05 AM.. For 10 players, 25c/50c blinds, $40 buyin, I'd go with: 120 x 25c 200 x $1 120 x $5 10 x $20/$25 Starting stack = 12 x 25c + 12 x $1 + 5 x $5 If you want your set to handle a $1/$2 game also, get: 120 x 25c 200 x $1 280 x $5 40 x $25 20 x $100 Starting stack: 20 x $1, 26 x $5, 2 x $25 You could go with a starting stack of 20 x $1, 16 x $5 and 4 x $25, but I prefer to have more reds on the table. Less reds would mean less overall chips and therefore a cheaper cost. If you are buying a nice set to last a lifetime and give to your boy, I'd add some extra to those totals to account for a chip that gets lost/broken/damaged. I like even barrels (20 chips), so I'd an extra 20 of each denom. Adjust totals if you can get a $20 chip in your set. I much prefer a $20 chip in a cash game, but that's just my personal preference.
