it does freeze really well for having so much dairy in it. Between this, my regular chili, my ham n corn chowder and now the gumbo I have a good stock of soups in the freezer. I hit the restaurant supply and pick up a 50 pack of pint containers to use.

I came this >< close to cooking up a batch of this for the chili cook off downtown today, but I didn't want to be away from the crib with a shit bag and all. Maybe next year!

I saw your post on this. I need to buckle down and make it. I'll blow back though the ingredients list to see if I can get everything here. Otherwise, make it when we're hoem for christmas or something.
