![]() My wife and I have recently purchased a house, this has a large garage which I had planned on partly converting in to a "Radio Man Cave" for me to have setup how I want with all my radio related equipment, a computer and all my other bits and pieces that are all about who I am as a person.
After moving in last December, I found that the garage area was not as large as what I had thought, this meant that instead I decided to convert the garden shed in to a radio scanning man cave / shack. This involved lining the walls / roof plus setting up a desk and storage shelves / drawers. I am very happy with how it has turned out, it is my own little space where I can do as I please. Total cost including all the furniture was less than $200 as the furniture was all purchased second hand. Launceston Analytical Radio Scanning : Project Radio Scanning Man Cave |

![]() Cool little radio space. I have a tech license myself and I need to set up a dedicated area for my equipment.

![]() Looks good ( I did see it the first time, but...
![]() <threadjack> Anybody got a license other than Tech? "Worth it"? Hard work? Would you suggest an upgrade for others, etc.??? Just curious what Hams in 2016 are doing with their licenses and gear... I'm doubting there is a huge amount of interest in the topic, but if so, maybe we can setup another thread in the OT section. Otherwise, just wondering what modern Hams are up to. ![]() ![]() ![]()
