Stovetop Cheese Grits, Blake
4 cups Chicken Stock
1 cup Old Fashion Grits
2 tsp. diced/minced garlic
3 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. heavy cream
4 oz. extra sharp chedder - shredded
salt and pepper to taste
Bring chicken stock to a boil and add grits and garlic, reduce heat and cook till grits are tender, approx. 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Once cooked, stir in butter, cream and cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
The cheese flavor is pretty mild so you might want to crank it up a little more.
