Default Bar/arcade

Hi all.. New member here..

No idea how I load pictures (on my phone)

But the room is 25 x 14 ft.. A friend and I dig out 33 tons of clay.. To lower the floor level.. Installed new HVAC and custom made duct work.. A mile of wiring (CAT6, power and Dolby 5.1)

Poured 8 tons of concrete.. 2 x steel beams, made the infinity wine cellar and bar.. Paneling all custom made.. As were the drinks cabinets..

The room has 4 pinballs, a Nintendo Wii, PS4, 55" TV, Yamaha Dolby 5.1 sound.. 14ft shuffle board and just started a 2 player MAME arcade cabinet..

Dishwasher, 160 can beverage fridge, 32 bottle wine cooler, ice maker etc..

Its not big... Or posh.. But its ours.. And we love it..

Next up is 400 sq ft cinema in the room next door

Thanks all..

The infinity wine cellar was made from 3/4" MDF.. And wallpapered in brick effect wallpaper from E bay

There are 25 real bottles of wine down there (5x5) the rest is just illusion

The cellar is only 2 ft deep.

The glass lid is 3/4" thick tempered glass.. And weighs 158lbs.. Its not fixed down.. Its own weight keeps it there.

We use it purely as a show piece.. So I only access it to clean the bottom mirror now and then.. I could of fabricated a metal frame with gas struts.. But always intended to have it just for show

I started tiling the splash back around the bar yesterday.. So will post up another video soon.. I'm working on a "construction" video using still photos for YouTube too..

Early next year I'm planning on building my "secret book case door" down into the basement..

Steel frame with timber on top (to make it strong) with RFID electronic locks (may be finger print ID).. Will post pics/video as and when

Fantastic work! Don't sell your home for at least three months.

Lol.. No plans to sell our home any time soon..

Although one "$#@%" keeps (weekly) offering to buy it for about $100,000 BELOW market value.. And thinks hes doing us a favor with his offer..

Er.. No thanks mate

Ive built a few security doors.. With hidden hinges and magnet locks before.. But never as a book case..

Won't be quite as strong as a safe door.. But will be resistant to kicking etc.. Hydraulic ram would probably get through..

Will be using 1/4" hot rolled steel flat bar.. I'm pretty handy with a MIG welder.. And have been fabricating for years.. A friend in the UK showed me how to make doors which are "attack proof"

Just planning ahead for Zombie apocalypse lol
