Re: Get Wrinkles out of Table Padding / Foam?

You should be OK with the portions covered in speed cloth, but you'll likely be able to see & feel the foam creases covered in velveteen. The creases will be more or less permanent, you may get a...

Re: New Project: Hop Trellis

July update. The cascade plant completely took off, reached the top of the trellis a couple of weeks ago, looks like I'm starting to get some small cones. The others look to have stalled out...

Re: 3-Season Room Addition

Was thinking the same thing, we did this when renovating the kitchen, replaced an old bay window with a sliding glass door the same size for better access to the deck/backyard. Though if those...

Re: Covering the rail and other things...

There's a pretty good reason why you won't find a good video of someone covering the rail - it takes the better part of 3 hours, so unless you dramatically speed up the footage or spend several hours...

Re: 3-Season Room Addition

Nice progress pics. Seeing the pic of the post holes immediately made my back cringe from memories of digging the foundations for my deck extension. Even with a 2 man auger, it took all day to...

Re: New Project: Hop Trellis

Quick update, all 4 hop plants seemed to have taken and are all coming along nicely. Here's a shot of the completed trellis with the ropes for the bines to climb up:

Re: Colorado Man Cave

I have heard good things about the rigid foam/styrofoam that gets glued to the concrete walls (as long as you seal the joints I believe it also acts as a vapor barrier). Then you put the 2x4 framing...

Re: Colorado Man Cave

Welcome to the forum, nice space to work with.

Do you know what type of insulation is on the walls? Kinda looks like blanket insulation, which sometime leads to mildew/odor problems because...

Re: New Project: Hop Trellis

Thanks for the tip. Was planning on stringing up rope for the bines to grow, kind of like an "M" pattern, starting on one side of the raised bed up to the trellis, down to a spike next to where the...

Re: Dice trays

Nice work, bird's mouth FTW, it makes for a very strong joint as there is lots of surface area to glue up. I used one to make the inverted pyramid/octagon peds for this table...

Re: New Project: Hop Trellis

Yeah me neither :D I don't think it's an ideal area, so there's few commercial hop growers, but supposedly our growing season works OK for hops (at least according to a few other local...

New Project: Hop Trellis

I've had this little project on my list for years, but we're typically so crazy busy in the spring around the Irish household that I've never gotten to this. I made it a priority this season and...

Re: New Table - Oval with Raised Rail

Interesting. Sound like it may be feasible if you installed it on top of the plywood but underneath the foam & cloth, but maybe not if installed under the -plywood. Maybe next time I need to order...

Re: New Table - Oval with Raised Rail

Yep, initially I had planned on building them into the sides of that storage area with something like wall sockets. After giving it some thought though, I think this solution is more "out of sight"...

Re: New Table - Oval with Raised Rail

A little bump for an addition to this table, I added USB charging ports for each seat. I had originally build the sub-base to hide folding legs to allow the table top to be quickly popped off and...
