HT Framing for TV

What would you do for a flat screen TV in your home theater?

Would you frame the wall flat and have the TV protrude away from the wall the 4-6" or would you frame a section of the wall recessed in 3.5".

We don't know what size of TV we would put up - probably 50-55" - so I could get dimensions and frame a little larger, just in case.

Flat wall. That way if you get a bigger TV down the road the hole wont hold you back

Agreed. Recessed would be cool, but if there is any chance at all of changing the size of the tv you may regret it.

I voted flat wall as well.

Flat wall. Technology is changing too quickly and you may want to change it. Plus, flat screens look fine on the wall.
