got a question

Watching Dark Knight last night on the flat screen with the home theater 5.1 set up. All of a sudden the movie shuts down and goes to loading DVD screen. Movie started again and maybe 20 minutes later it shut off again and goes to loading DVD screen and we start watching the movie again. It did this two or three times again and I noticed it only turned off when it was at a part in the movie when there was a lot a bass going thru the sub woofer. I have watched a few movies so far with the Home theater 5.1 set up and this is the first movie to do this.

Do you think it was the vibration from the sub woofer shutting down the DVD player? Could it just be the DVD disc itself? I mean I have watched Iron Man and the Player never shut down. My sub woofer is probably 2 foot from where the DVD player is, do you think it is too close?

that was my problem. Might be fixed by moving the sub or using a different dvd payer. We bought a $50 dvd player but the Sub kept making the disc skip and restart. About 2 feet distance. We ended up getting an xbox 360 and even though we haven't moved the Sub any further away, the skipping stopped completely.
