Looking at a new TV - Your Thoughts

We are looking at getting a new TV. The wife and I have deceided that this will be our Christmas present to each other. This is the one we are looking at. It is a Phillips 42".

This week at BBY, got the Sony 42v4100 on sale for $999. Regular $1499. If you are on the 1k budget. THAT the hot tv. Just bought my z4100 last week, and its amazing.

Not sure about the Phillips LCD's but I do have a 42" phillips plasma that's pretty kick ass. I also have a 55" Sony 3LCD Wega and it's kick ass as well. One of the best pictures i've seen. Look at the all and get what looks best in your price range. TV's are no longer a 8-12 year purchase. You'll be looking to get something new before you know it.

I have seen the TV in person. This is the one the wife picked out. I believe she has set her/our budget. Just wondering if anyone had one of these or knew anyone who had one.
