Just a heads-up that Lowe's is discontinuing their Task Force line of benchtop tools to be replaced by the Skil line. I don't know if it's nationwide, but it's the case here in the Denver, CO area.
I'm not sure the extent of this, but I know that it includes bench top grinder, band saw, and scroll saw. Anyway, I just got a smokin' deal on the band saw and scroll saw, $100 for the pair (scroll saw was the floor model, band saw was brand new in a box). I proposed the combo deal for $100 and the manager said "sounds good", so you too may have success with not having to pay the posted prices.
I know the Task Force brand tools aren't exactly Porter Cable or anything like that, but they're usually ok for occasional-use tools.
