OK guys, here are some pics from my thanksgiving turkey that I thought I should share since there has been such talk around here about brining.
I used Alton Browns recipe for the brine and the aromatics for the cavity of the bird.
Thanks also go to Quads for recommending it.
Here is the Turkey in the Brine.

Here is the aromatics that went into the cavity of the bird. It was 1/2 an onion, one red apple, some cinnamon and some water.

And just before it went into the oven.

The completed bird, took almost 3 hours of total cook time.

All plated up and ready to eat.

I just have to say, this was the best turkey I have ever made myself, and one of the best turkeys I have ever eaten. Now, I dont know if I would want to prepare a turkey this way every time, but definately for some thing different, this is the way to go. I could not believe just how moist the white meat was, it was amazing. What an awesome thanksgiving meal. The whole family loved it.
