My wife has finally decided that the "dining room" needs to be a dining room. As it is now the kids have all their toys and things in there. This is great news because the wife thinks that the kids should have their own big play room. Well, I threw the undergroud out there and she jumped all over it. The only catch is I get the garage. Its all mine baby. So starting this spring I have to look into getting a shed to store all the stuff in my garage and then look into a contractor who will put a window and a door on the outside wall. Im fired up Ill be posting up dimensions and Ill be looking for advice from you all.
1st of amny questions????????? Whats a decent sided shed cost?
and what do you think a contractor will charge to put a window and a door in?

Window and Door - I'd guess between 800 and 1K but have no idea.

As for the door and window, it depends on what kind of wall it is, and more importantly what is running through the wall now. If there is plumbing, electrical, etc. which has to be moved then it could double the cost. If the wall is nothing but framing, then it will be a lot less. Unfortunately, you might not know this until you start tearing holes in the wall to find out. You may want to take a hammer and punch some test holes in the place where you want the door and window.

And as for the dining room, I happen to know they turn into pretty good bars too...just saying.
