We all love things that explode in one way or another, so why have we never posted plans for POTATO GUNS.

Take some time this weekend and build one at home...enjoy

I especially like the technical discussions at the bottom of the dangerouslyfun.com page.

The danger level alone makes me want to try this!

negligible
moderate
high
do not do this

If that's not an inducement to try this, nothing is!

Use to make tennis ball cannons with old school coke cans (back when they had flat bottoms and pull tops) and then with campbell soup cans when soda cans changed. Use lighter fluid and twirl to vaporize and rid the excess fluid....those suckers would fly..... If you didn't set yourself on fire, or melt the duct tape. Time to upgrade to the 21th century...Co2 baby!!!

I remember watching Letterman back when I was in High School and he had some SFX dude on, and this guy took a paint can, punched a hole on the side near the bottom, put in a tiny amount of gasoline, attached the lid tightly, shook the fuck out of it (turning the gas to vapors), then put a match near the hole... Blew the fuck off the lid (of course, the lid was secured with a safety tether on TV).

I almost burnt the garage down the next day after school.

When I was a kid we made a HUGE potato gun and we used to shoot 22oz beer bottles out of it. That thing looked like a freakin' Howitzer. Those were the days...
