made this table to complete the project graduation tables my son and i agreed to do. this is a $2500 table that the guy bought through project graduation for about $2100 total. pedestals are hand made. he wanted a racetrack that was elevated and chipbays between players with cupholders in the table surface. kinda ordinary...but functional.

it plays great. The cupholders are out of the way(unlike when they are in the rail)...the chip bay and elevated racetrach work well for chip storage. The chipbays also define the players seating so all in all I like it.

JP - do you remember roughly how big the pedestal columns are (rough diameter) - I think I'm going to try my luck in making my own peds for my next table and I'm debating on how big to make them.

they are about 8" in diameter. I can check the height/width dimensions for the individual sections and post them if you'd like. do a search of the net for pedestal construction and you can find some good info on methods. I will also look when I get home to see if I saved any of the informative links for construction.

Cool, that's around the size I was thinking, thanks Scott. No need to check the height and other dimensions - I'm looking at a few different ideas for the feet and stretcher, trying to do something a little different. Still very much in the planning stages, so I have a lot of research to do. Thanks!
