the corner cabinet from hell! so many frigging angles and detail work. i am about 1/2 finished with it. in process of making the face frame for the bottom piece that has a drawer in the center. then have to make the raised panel doors for the bottom piece and then the glass doors for the top piece. then make and mount the trim. the wife has agreed to do the finish work so when i get the above items accomplished i can more on to other projects. this is my first attempt at building a corner cupboard and will probably be my last.

the color is really more of a walnut stained oak. the photo program one step fix made it look to red in some of the photos

Well, it looks nice... but with all those shelves, I don't think my wife would fit in there...

Depends on how small you make her

JP,

What are some words of advice for building one of these? I have been seriously been contemplating making one for an entertainment center (tv on top, receivers, dvd player, etc. below with storage for dvd's)

I used to have one when I lived in Iowa. I had it custom made and it was great along with the two flanking bookcases. Unless you are an experienced woodworker or have access to someone who it, I would not try and tackle this. Alot of work. Many friggin angles to make everything match. I would search the net for plans/ideas(that is what I did and ultimately customized what I found to fit what I needed to build)..good luck.

btw Wedge...friggin hilarious respone...I'd have to cut mine up in really small pieces to get her to fit!

That's some seriously nice work there JP. How many passes on the router table for the panels for the doors?

Cool, Thanks. Just got a new router table, Kreg master system and a Kreg Clamp table and plan on doing some projects like that myself.

Can't say enough about the Kreg clamp table, that thing is fantastic for assembling face frames.

I finally got the wifey to put the varnish on the corner cupboard. Unfortunately she waited so long(16 months) that the glass doors that go on top are slightly warped. I am going to try to bring them back to straight and failing that I will have to build new ones...arghhhhhhhh!!!!!!

here it is in place sans the glass doors.

I don't have your mad skillz, but I used to screw around with this stuff in the Philippines at the Air Base shop. Shit would warp in a couple hours if you didn't cut it, sand it and finish it right away.

Nice job, there, bud! I could never do that.
