Thanks for the accolades, I appreciate it. I gleened much information from the other builders on this forum over the years...............great place.

PimpMyTable.com? Just tried it on my phone's HTML browser and got a page that looks like a place holder page for a yet-unowned domain. All links leading from that page yielded HTTP errors.

Irish; I LOVE this table. Do you have any build pictures of the skirt for the tabletop portion? kerf cuts? laminated pcs? I'd like to try building a topper like that.
http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd106/irishpenguin75/Poker%20Table%2004/IMG_5396.jpg
*Edit* I really need to pay attention more. I found the build thread of that table and read your discussion with Frog about skirt construction. Great diagrams. I think with that info I could figure it out. I hope my first attempt comes even CLOSE to how yours turned out. Man, that's a gorgeous table.

10-04-2009, 07:32 PM
Thanks CD, you could use kerf cuts or the bendable plywood for the round portions of the skirt. There's really not a lot to it, it's just making some nice straight cuts, lots of wood glue and then a good chunk of time for staining & finishing.

I can't believe I forgot to put my first (and only) table in here! I did a whole thread on it with build pics last January, but then my alzheimers must have kicked in and I forgot to post shots here. Soooo, a little late . . .
Here is the first photo taken at my buddy's house where we built it. I was not happy with the rail, so I later removed it and redid it entirely. Those shots later on.
http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/3063/111xd3.jpg
A shot from more of a side angle. You can see the legs. Removable black tube legs I got on eBay. I have another set for table #2 if I ever get to it.
http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/9914/121vo8.jpg
Underside. Plain, flat black paint.
http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/277/72526724ty2.jpg
The rail recovering, in progress. Much better. The inside of the rail is not padded (hat tip to Trann on that one).
http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/7288/mg00011is4.jpg
Shot with newly recovered and reattached rail.
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/6651/top21gm6.jpg
And side shot of newly done rail. Not perfect, by any means, but it is not a bad attempt for Table #1, I think.
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/4402/top31uy9.jpg
And, the matching chips. Again, thanks to Trann for the design work. Guma produced.
http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/9049/gumateaser2ha1.jpg
And inaugural game. We should include a shot of tables in use once in a while, doncha think?

I was just perusing through this thread and realized I forgot to add the table I built about a year ago. The pedestals were salvaged from a table someone around the block was throwing out . Ended up selling this the other day to a customer who was looking for a nice pedestal table for his new house but couldn't swing the full cost of a new one.

Yes sir, that's white rope lighting for the bet line, The customer insisted on having it there, I originally suggested having it between the rail and racetrack making it a raised rail but they wanted it as the bet line between the centre and the racetrack, have to give what the people want

The charcoal fabric racetrack is sable suede, great stuff!! not very practical for the centre playing area, as the cards don't slide all that well on it, but fantastic for the racetrack, as I love to do fabric racetracks as apose to wood stained racetracks.
