I just ate leftover spaghetti with pesto. It was very good. Drank a few waters too. I can't go outside without sweating, very important to drink water ILO soda at work on days like today.

that sounds really good. I haven't BBQed anything in a few weeks. Won't be able to this weekend either. Maybe next weeekend.. BTW July is almost over, just though I would point that out.

I just had my breakfast an hour ago - just a basic two jumbo eggs, two waffles with jelly, and a banana.

Eh, I was up until about 3:30 doing HW - and haven't been sleeping well thanks to leaving my one and only pillow at the girl's house who's away for the week so sleeping until 11 was much in line.

Sounds very similar to my lunch, minus the pesto.

Same thing I have every day: ham & cheese on a bagel. Banana for dessert. Wash it down with a soda of some kind, usually diet. I eat because I have to. When I want to eat I have some fun. Last night I tried some chicken breasts marinated in a spicy BBQ/Chipotle sauce and added some diced pineapple chunks and pistachios (yeah, I just throw shit in; whatever is handy or I have an abundance of). Then I BBQd them in a pan so the sauce was all in there. It was like sauteeing them. Not horrible but not as good as I expected.

OOOH DUDE! I had a full Q report up, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I didn't post it.
Anyhow, I started smokin about 10:30 on Sat nite. I let it go all nite (I used white oak as the wood of choice this time) and after about 8 hours, I was going to use the foil/oven method, but it was already about 100 in my house - so I still did the foil thing, I just kept it in the smoker and cranked up the heat to about 250.
Dude - it was AWSOME -- I am going to try your oven method when it gets closer to Fall/Winter, but I am sold on foiling it now.

the key is foiling it to keep in the moisture...you can do it in the oven or the smoker/grill....just usually easier to control the temp in the oven. Glad you like it. Did you put the rub on 48-60 hrs before the smoke? what wood did you use for the smoke? how deep did the smoke get into the meat? did you cool it and then slice it or just slice it right out of the foil? Inquiring minds want to know!

I know, I know. I love good food.
As far as my size. My biggest problem isn't my eating. I honestly don't eat much at all, honestly really never have. But I'm a Big Guy (6'1" about 270lbs) My problem is lack of exercise. I sit on my ass at my desk all day and don't do shit. I play with my kids and stuff after work and on the weekends, but not enough to make a difference. It's hard for me to find time to exercise, and I'm so mentally exhausted when I get home from work, I don't have the energy to do much more than the regular daily household stuff (get dinner, do dishes, get kids a bath, get them in bed, etc. etc. etc.)
The few times in my life when I worked at "physical" jobs, I dropped weight like crazy. It was like I was getting it cut off. I looked like a bowling ball when I was in Junior High about 5'7" and about 235lbs. In high school, I worked at a dairy farm. From my freshman to senior years overall, I dropped 45 pounds and grew 6 inches in height.
Then of course I put on weight once I went to college. Worked one summer at a Steel Mill. Dropped 40 pounds over the course of 3 months.
Both times, I never changed my eating habits one bit. Never took any pills. Never had an exercise routine. I just worked. And it made a huge difference. My wife will eat more than me in a regular meal, and she's 5'3" and maybe 120 dripping wet. I must have a very inactive metabolism or something. Cause I've just steadily gained weight over time since I've gotten into the banking business. Long hours with little physical activity. I will sometimes shed a few pounds in the summer from just regular crap. Working in the yard, playing with the kids, playing softball. But once winter sets in, I put my extra winter insulation back on, plus a few.

Just had a breakfast burrito, beef machaca leftover from last night's dinner, with egg and cheese, some tapatio sauce.
For lunch, probably another beef machaca burrito.

Never mind, I'm retarded. Took pics during prep and cooking. Then everyone showed up and during the final scramble to get the food on the table, I forgot to take after pics.
It was spectacular. The skirt steak and ribs were some of my best ever...

I'll try to make up for it with the flank steak details.
Picked up a couple flank steaks at Costco (they sell 'em in a 2 pack).
Marinated from 9pm Sat. night until dinner time yesterday in a mix of:
Pineapple juice (about 1 cup)
Soy Sauce (maybe 3 Tbs.)
Brown sugar (maybe 1/2 - 3/4 cup packed)
Chopped garlic (maybe 1 Tbs.)
Crushed ginger (1 Tbs.)
Wasabi paste (1 Tbs.)
Smelled great coming out of the marinade. Grilled over high heat (500+) for 5 minutes on each side. Slice on the bias, it was extremely tender and tasty.
Served it with this rip-off version of TGIFriday's Jack Daniels glaze. This stuff is like liquid crack:
