Hey everybody,
I just found this board a couple days ago and signed up. I wanted to share some before and afters of my Man Cave that is affectionately known as "The Earnhardt Room" for obvious reasons. ;)
I don't have a "photo bucket" type account so I am not able to post pics in here so I hope it's alright to post a link to my Blog http://www.butterfieldphotos.com/Robert/ where I write a little more detail about the room and how it all came about.

outstanding mancave and welcome!
Very cool! Not a Nascar fan, but you did it up right. I really like the racetrack on the wall. Ever think about doing a real slot car track around the entire room? That would be tits!

X2 on this for sure. I'm not a racing fan but that room is great. Very well done! I love the track on the wall, especially loaded with the cars. Any chance they are in any specific order from a certain race? Just asking...

J P Frog: Thanks for the kudos and welcome....
Guma: I had though about a slot car track around the room at one point very early on but with two door openings, one exit and then the french doors, running it waist high around the room wasn't an option, running the track above the doors was thought about but there is a support beam right smack dab in the middle of the ceiling. If I ever get my dream garage, the E Room will have a RC car oval around the ceiling with plexy-glass to keep them inside but for that to happen I need to pop a lottery.
monkey_booger: That is one hell of a username, wow.... LOL. I am buying all 13 available 1/24 diecast he has out in the next week or two; I can't leave him out. Thanks for the compliment on the pics from the NASCAR event in Vegas, my next assignment is at Infineon Speedway @ Sonoma in a couple weeks. Not sure if it's cool in here or not but I'll post my stuff after the event.
Paul22: The cars on the track are legendary drivers and paint schemes from days gone by. Drivers that have passed away are leading the pack up front. But it has some famous cars like Petty's 200th win, Elliott's 212mph Firebird, etc etc..... No particular order except Dale is leading. One funny thing about the cars on the track, when I jam the stereo system nice and loud and get those crisp PSB speakers and that 12" woofer bumping, the cars move and crash about mid pack, just like in real life. They respond best to the AC/DC Back in Black album, excuse me CD.

Seemed appropriate when I filled out the registration - not so much now, but I ain't startin' over!
Hell Yes, post up those Infineon pics. A number of us will be looking for them over in the Off Topic thread.

Good deal, in the Off topic thread it is..... I should have something on the Blog several days after I get home and process the pics. I'd be shooting more often but I work overseas (Iraq) and am only home for a couple weeks every 4 months.
