Hi IgotDANUTZ-
Thanks for the post...we've been in the custom poker chip business for many years, and I know that during this entire time, there have been lower priced alternatives. We have seen competitors come, and we have seen competitors shut down. We were a sponsor at "one of the other places" for a long time, and even though we were never the "lowest price", we were (and still are) highly recommended by that forum's members over others.
We have always strived to offer the highest quality and service possible. We are the only company other than Chipco that I know of who have their own exclusive blanks. I've designed a process that creates amazing sharp image quality on the chips. You may want to take a look at our "Custom Poker Chip Comparison (http://www.abcgiftsandawards.com/pokerchipcomparison.htm)" to see a comparison of our printing quality versus one of our competitors (I'm not saying who made the "other guy" chips as the customer asked me not to).
I know that there will always be customers who will make their decision based on price alone, and that if that is the only factor that they consider, we won't be making their chips. I'm ok with that, because I know that there will always be customers who see the true value that we offer.
Thanks,
Gene
BTW - We ended our sponsorship of "the other place" due to my decision to not support that site's owner anymore.

While I don't have a full set of ABC ceramics, I've handled samples of Gene's chips vs those that Guma and others make, and I'll vouch for the difference in quality shown in that link. Guma and others have a nice product at an affordable price, but Gene's chips really are that much nicer. It's like comparing china clays with Paulsons - the china clays are nice, they fulfill their intended function just fine, but they're not on the same level of quality as Paulsons. Same thing with these ceramics.

As with anything, and as holds true with even poker chips, you get what you pay for. I think in this example (http://www.abcgiftsandawards.com/pokerchipcomparison.htm), it's clear that paying the few extra cents per chip is a long term decision that makes great sense.

As a side note, I've taken the liberty of splitting this question into a new thread as the discussion is important to understand one chip to the next and ABC's pricing.

Also, there is a 10% coupon code that you can use on any purchase on our website: ABCMANCAVE

I have two sets of custom ceramics. One is ABC and the other is not (unfortunately I was unaware of ABC when I ordered the first set). I'll gladly pay the extra cents per chip to get the detail in my chips to stand out crisply.
In addition to outstanding stock and print quality; Gene's level of customer service is second to none.

Very well said! Classy answer. I end up saying the same sort of thing to my clients.
