My unsolicited comments?

I like the logo alot. Fits really well with the concept and it just looks cool.

I like the general layout. Has a "crest and seal" feel to it.

Not a big fan of the font. If you are doing it for continuity with your existing chips/tables/etc. I understand, but the SBCR on the back is almost illegible. Perhaps that's what you were going for...dunno.

Question: Just wondering what the "P" on the helmet is for...

I Love the font, (Teutonic no3), to each his own. The SBCR is on my latest table so I thought I'd include it in these chips. All thats on the chip design are from each of the three tables. We'll have to see how it comes out. Thanks for the imput, good to see from another set of eyes.

The P is my last name initial.

Looking forward to see how they come out Gene.

I don't like the font only because its so stylized that its hard to read. If you like it, that's all the matters. And like I said, if it pulls together a theme, I totally get it.

Other than the font, I really like these.

With a name like morningwood, I'd think you'd put "PP" on the helmet...

Here are the photos...not the best quality photos, but that's on purpose. Most people will look at the chips at arms distance. I always recommend that any white text in front of a black (or dark color) background should be outlined with a hairline white outline. Since white isn't printed in the printing process, the dark color will tend to overpower thin white lines. When you hold the chip close, you can see all of the detail to the text, but not from farther away.

Just a quick thought - How does the 500 and 5000 look together? Is it possible that they would be difficult to distinguish from one another?

The other thing is that you may want to consider increasing the size of your skull. Maybe you could decrease the color ring around the edge (just a little) and have more room for the fatter font and a larger skull.

Just a couple thoughts.

For me that is the best I can get the skull (my inkscape skillz are very limited) without showing the border of the imported drawing. I don't think I ever had issues with anyone confusing chip denoms with those colors. I might change the 500 more pink to avoid this.

I'll give it a try but may need to move the skull around. Thanks for the imput, one and all.

Thanks J.C. I LOL'd...I needed that.

Anywho I had to re-do the pics (lap top crashed) So thru bitmap editing, jpeg convertion, inkscape creation, bitmap export and finally to IRfanview jpeg conversion - based on your imput (which I appreciate) here are the latest. I tried to use an off black for the center, and kept some of the inner font darker to pop it out a bit, unfortunatey I under shot the change.

Let me know if you guys see anything other issues in need of remedy. Thanks

Not bad not bad.......Checking my mail it looks like the samples were shipped - sweet!

From the pics here, the font looks like its still struggling against the black background (I sorta expected it). I'll make adjustments to the files just in case. Thanks for rippping the samples out Gene!

*note to self* If pics are an acurate representation, change font back ground to lighter color of chips, leave skull side alone, submit, and rip em out.

As a side liner looking in, might I suggest taking out the color / 'stuff' that's inside the font. Like in the bottom of each "0" you have that fill in the middle of each side. Same with each of the letters. If there is a way to take that out, it might print a little cleaner on the eyes and have more of the effect you are looking for, with keeping that particular font style.

Yeah, I'm thinking I may have to reverse things, way too much black. First I'll try your suggestion and see if it cleans things up - if its a no go I just reverse things on this side.
