I don't know if anyone would be interested but I came across something that could add a nice touch to a movie room...

The prices look pretty reasonable. I'm thinking of having some small ones done of battleships firing their guns.

My Grindhouse poster is backlit; if I ever build/buy a lightbox, it'll be the test poster.

@ Redneck Rebel - I'm actually the owner of www.backlitposters.com (http://www.backlitposters.com) and just wanted to say thanks for sharing the link! One of our most loyal client groups are home-theater gurus like you guys as well as indie film producers, which doesn't reflect well on the website (changes will be made,... trust me!).
But one thing that most people don't know is, we can recreate many popular movie posters with you as the star! This has been a HUGE hit with our clients, and we can design it for as little as $50. I'll post a sample of our latest, which is a take from the original "Waynes World" theatrical release poster. We can replace faces or full bodies on most posters IF we can find a good source file.
Thanks again for finding us! And in appreciation of your post, EVERYONE who emails us and mentions The Perfect Man Cave (http://www.perfectmancave.com) before placing an order will get a 10% discount on ANY order!

With that said, we should make you a forum sponsor if you're interested.
Backlit posters are quite popular, and is a question asked / answered often in the forum.
PM me for details and let's work out getting you in the rotation of being a paid sponsor, banner rotation, and where you can manage your own forum with specials, discounts, and promotions.

I bought a backlit poster for the card room, quality work. Made the frame put in the lights for it (recommed using LED lighting), and it hangs proudly....I'll snap a pic and post.

Wow, that's awesome! Do you have any pics of the build or without the poster in place?

Sorry Irish it didn't come to mind when building it, I :fail:. Used blocks on the inside, spacers to keep things in place. I would advise using a framing clamp (but they are expensive). Keeping things square was a pain until the back was slid in and then the final side cemented in place.

Cool, thanks man. I hear you on he framing clamp, I've done a few picture frames without one and it's tough to keep it together square.

Ahhh! I remember this one! The logo was brilliant! Great job on the custom framing. The matte looks sharp.

Hey! That's a great site that you mentioned. The prices on the back lit areas are not badly priced. I remember trying to purchase one from a wholesale distributor in NYC. I won't go into the experience, but the constant haggling didn't get the price down to be affordable enough. Oy vey. Thanks for the links, though! :)
