not sure if that is what they are called or not. basically its just a coaster that is installed in a bar top that stays super cold and frosts up. used for setting your drink on top of to help keep it cold.
anyone have any experience with them? do they work? know where i could get a couple?

honestly have never heard of it.
my theory was always: if your beer gets warm by sitting there, you're not drinking fast enough.

I think these are what he's talking about:

I've seen them around in some of the sports novelty shops with various logos on them. Don't know how they work though.

pretty close. the one i saw was mounted inside the top of the bar, had a stainless steel ring around it and was lighted from underneath. looked kinda more of a novelty thing.
i think im in quads' camp - " if you beer gets warm..."

Whoa, that sounds pretty cool, I'll have to keep an eye out for those.
Welcome to PMC by the way, I thought I recognized the username.

You need one of these

or one of these

because you're obviously still nursing.

Interesting concept -- it is available though as a warmer & chiller. USB plug in so it would need to be adapted for a bar top install
