Electric Vehicle Conversion

Not exactly "man cave"ish, but I thought it was interesting. This guy took a 1998 Ford Escort and coverted it to an electric vehicle, and documented it for us! Complete with pics and video!

Certainly not practical for those with 20+ mile commutes, but as a vechicle to run errands around town or short commutes, it'd be perfect. And his was much cheaper than buying one new.

I was reading about that earlier...cool concept...but $13,000 to convert a $2000 car? I dunno about everyone else here, but I don't have that kinda cash and sure as hell no bank is going to lend you the money for that.

There is a company out in California that will convert any car to electric. Anthony Kiedis had a 69 or 70 camaro converted. There was a very short lived show on discovery about them.
