Looking to buy (or trade pre-teen daughter who knows everything) a nice pedestal base for a poker table/dining room table. I been scouring Craigslist and hitting all the local junk (garage) sales, and have yet to find one. I know I can order from Adams or something similar, but I dont really want to pay 130$ + for a set up. I know some of you guys build, and figured it wouldn't hurt to check around if ya have one you want to unload.

Need a single pedestal to go under a 6x3 6 person poker table with a topper. Dosent have to be a claw foot or anything fancy, but would like a nice one.

why don't you build one? instructions/method in my spalted maple octagon thread. Btw...it had better be a big pedestal as that's alot of torque on the ends of the 6' table.

I would, but as I said, I want to use this as a dining table also. So I would like a nice turned one. Since I dont own a lathe, nor have touched one since Shop class in HS 20 or so yrs ago, Im down to buying one now.

do you have a good tablesaw? you can make one without the turning for very cheap and big enough to support that big table. Although a twin ped setup with stringer would be the optimum setup. Also easy to construct. See my project grad thread for how I did mine.

No table saw, but I have been looking at local Pawn shops for one.

got a friend with a tablesaw?

ever make it to lake of the ozarks? I'd be happy to help you cut out twin peds and a stretcher. You'd have to do the glue up at home though.
