So I got a great little storage room under our family room that I put a nice wine rack in. I had a hard time finding the sizes of the ladders. But my buddy had one in his house, so I copied the dimentions. After he saw mined, he was impressed. He ordered his from a fancy wine site and cracked a few of his ladders. Me being cheep, just went to HD and bought some pine strips and set the old table saw up and ripped boards till there was no tomarrow. I think his is redwood, but no one will see mine, I do not have the fancy door and no temp/humidity unit. Two of the walls have dirt behind them, one is the back of the bar and the other is the work room wall. It is always nice and cool in there.

Than fired up the old staple gun and went to work. I also made base molding for the bottom as well. Had the glass hanger from a bar I worked at.

For those who need it:

main towers are 4" appart,

Rails are 2 1/4" appart

Rail is 3 1/4" above the bottom rail.

That's really nice - great job and welcome to the forum....

I like the Christmas theme too. ;)

That it fantastic for a straight / simple / cost effective DIY wine rack.
Nice thing about that as well is that wen you want to add on, it's a trip to HD rather than 100's and 100's more spent in the redwood catalog.

Very nicely done.

Thanks for the complaments. It you can see, most of the wine is under $15 bucks, with the yellow tail at $4.99. The tree will be moved to a new space in the storage room to make way form my RO/D water filter for my salt water tank. The next project is setting that up.

We now have 2 things in common - lots of yellow tail wine in stock and a salt water tank.... I've had my reef tank for 5 years or so (and dedicated ro/di filter. :D)

Yellow Tail is a staple in our house.
Cheep, decent table wine.
