I hope to make this place better over time. But here is the start. A little background info for you all. My wife and I bought an '75 rambler with a walk out basement four years ago. Re did the whole main floor. Have not updated the "lower level" basement. Many things on the punch list that I want to do. Hopefully the market housing and $ gets better soon. But here are the pics from after a fun night of poker.

Stunning room!
Welcome to the forum!

So is that you're walkout or a converted garage? Me thinks walkout, but wanted to ask.

Awesome room. I really like the wood furnishings/trim/accents everywhere. And that rug really ties the room together. :D

Welcome!

I is my walk out. It is one of the widest homes I have ever seen. If it was build now, it would need three lot.

Thanks for the nice praise. I do have a few thing that I want to do this summer. I will post the changes if I get to do them. I know that there are a few things that the wife wants done, and there are a few that I will have to convince her to do. Here is a small list that will hopefull get done this summer.

Remove the track lighting and put in some cans.
Remove the wood beams.
Scrape down the pop corn and make the cealing smooth or knock down.
Would love to re do the bar. Smooked glass mirror is a little old looking.
Rip our the build ins by the big screen to make a little larger room and install some nice book cases.

Wish me luck.

I like the wood beams. Also like the track lighting, although cans wouldn't be bad. I would also leave the mirror.

Agree with removing the built-ins, and the popcorn ceiling, although removing popcorn is kind of a bitch.

It may seem like more work, but I'd recommend ripping down and replacing the drywall if you don't like the popcorn ceiling. Scraping that crap off is a HUGE PITA, and you probably won't like the results you get when you're finished (it won't be really smooth). It creates a huge mess. Rip it down, rent a lift and re-do do the drywall, you'll be happier in the end.

I have done it in a few other rooms, including moving the beams.
It is easy were they have not mud and taped, and stinks where they have. In the other rooms, they did not prime the rock and just sprayed the texture.
If I do a knock down, that would be the best and the eaisest. To get it smooth, I still have to do some mudding and taping, but not a lot.

I would not mined putting in new track, the white lights are a little yellow know.

I get so incredibly jealous seeing everyones rooms. My small as shit house doesn't have a single space not covered with kids crap.

The only thing I have is a 14X22 shed outside but it's full of tools and bikes and crap, I hope I can build a smaller shed this year to move everything else into and convert the existing one. Damn I'm envious, nice room dude!

Quick question, i notice that you have the blinds displayed on two screens. How did you pull that off??????

I dunno; I don't think I'd change a thing. Looks pretty nice to me.

Maybe just some sports logo stuff or something like that to bring a bit of accent color to the room.

Either split the signal, or buy one of those broadcasters from Radio Shack...
