Interestingly, 'man cave' is the go-to term used throughout and we've got the perfect domain name for it.

In fact, PMC is even referenced as a source.

yeah, we're going to have a tough time passing DIY in the short while, but I expect that the more content we have in the planning, discussion / showcase forums, the more activity will generate with the search engines moving us higher in the rankings.

I clicked the link in the article, and search and clicked on Google. I also did it on Yahoo (my search engine) because I was curious, and it was WAY down on the list and on page two. :(

That was our goal from day one.
Google #1 search for "man cave plans" and after a lot of threads, topics, content, etc. we've reached it with nothing short of all of your(you'z) help.

Now we need to get "man cave" from the depths of 7 or 8 deep up in the top 3.

That's going to be tough to do so long as we remain a non-commercial site for the sake of not buying SEO placement or selling goods or products.

Traffic patterns will drive us there, it just takes longer.

The other thing that will push that rank higher is the simple search of "man cave" and click the PMC link down in the results.

The more searches and hits to that link move it higher.

I honestly don't know how it works anymore. I know people pay 1000's for serch engine optimization and placement. I also know if you build really bitchen, clean content, and people visit, you rise to the top. People linking to you is good. The more inbound links ... with traffic.... the better.
