My girlfriend is a real artsy kind of girl. The last time she moved she broke her easel and hasnt painted since. We are looking at redoing my second living / dining area into a bistro kind of theme so we were looking around for wine themed furniture. We saw an easel made out of wine barrel staves and she though it was beautiful. So, birthday around the corner.......here goes. Here are a few pics of the staves and beginning contruction. I wont be able to finish till next weekend. I may start another thread with some of her painting, pretty spectacular.

Like I said in the OP, we saw a similiar one in an antique store and she thought it was beautiful. I could see how you missed it by my wonderful craftsmanship!!!
